Fintech Social Media Marketing: How Missive Grew LinkedIn Reach 24x for an IPO and Gold Investment App

A new fintech app for IPO bidding and physical gold and silver investing was entering a crowded market with no brand identity and almost no social presence. Missive built its brand guidelines from scratch, then launched a timely, IPO-led content strategy across four platforms. Within three months, monthly LinkedIn impressions grew 24x, Instagram 6x, and Facebook went from zero to over 2,000 monthly impressions.

The Challenges

Why Brand Awareness Is Hard for a
New Fintech App in a Crowded Market

The brand had no documented guidelines.

The founders had no visible personal presence to humanise the brand

LinkedIn impressions were under 100 a month, and the Facebook page had no reach at all.

Financial products need trust before they get attention, and a new brand had neither.

IPO opportunities are time-sensitive, so content had to be ready within hours, not weeks.

There was no consistent posting rhythm or recurring format for audiences to recognise

What We Did

Our Fintech Brand Building and Social Media Strategy for an Investment App

Brand Guidelines for a Fintech Startup

We built the content around the founder analysing real handwriting on screen, instead of relying on graphics and stock visuals.
Every post now looked and sounded like the same trustworthy brand.

IPO Content Strategy Built Around Live Market Moments

We built a fast-turnaround format for IPO alerts and explainers, publishing details such as price band, lot size and dates as soon as an IPO opened.
A single IPO alert became the top Facebook post, with 1,149 views in short time.

Same-Day Event Content for Offline-to-Online Visibility

When the team attended a major stockbroker technology expo, we published event content the same day, featuring the team and the booth.
The event reel became the most-viewed Instagram and LinkedIn post.

Founder-Led LinkedIn Content Strategy

We wrote 8 posts for the founders alongside the company page, putting real faces behind the app.
Founder presence gave a new fintech brand the credibility investors look for.

Product-Led Reels That Explain the App

We created reels showing the range of financial products available in one app, alongside a presenter-led "financial mall" concept.
The presenter-led reel became the most-liked Instagram post.

YouTube Shorts Strategy for Financial Content

We repurposed short-form videos for YouTube, led with recognised company names in the first seconds, and tested Hindi-language content.
A Hindi short became the top video, and one IPO short was re-watched to 121% average view duration.

The Results

How a Fintech Brand Awareness Strategy Grew Reach Across Every Platform

Two things changed. The brand got a consistent identity that made it look credible, and its content started riding real market moments like IPO launches and industry events. Reach grew on every platform, and a Facebook page that had no reach at all began generating thousands of monthly impressions.
